Het Kabeltje.For Alsema.
A staff magazine that goes beyond a loose A4 sheet: from concept to a print-ready file.
Alsema needed a staff magazine that goes beyond a loose A4 sheet: a real magazine, cover to colophon, that presents the company professionally and coherently to its own staff.
The approach
- One fixed design system: grid, typography and colour applied consistently throughout
- Self-selected and directed imagery, tuned for mood and recognisability
- Full production: from concept and layout to a print-ready file
The magazine is built around a single fixed grid and a limited, repeated set of typographic choices, so every page, from interview to photo feature, is instantly recognisable as the same magazine. Not 80 loose pages, but one continuous whole.
What I made
- Full layout of the magazine (80 pages)
- Picture editing and photo selection
- Cover and interior design
- Print-ready final file
The result
Het Kabeltje was printed in a run of 250 copies and distributed among Alsema's staff. No more loose A4 sheet, just a magazine that actually feels like a magazine.
Alsema was happy with the result, the magazine was well received within the company.
